Why register?
We encourage all Brides to register at one
of our computer kiosks located as you walk in. This registers
you for the many discounts offered by our vendors and enters you
into our drawing for dozens of prizes to be given away.
Upon registering, all of our brides will
receive our signature Bridal Passport and a bag filled with some
great stuff.
Should I bring someone with me to the event?
Yes! Your fiancé, family members,
wedding party, and friends can be a great asset to you as you
plan your wedding. They can collect information, provide valuable
input, give you support, and assist in decision making.
Can I bring my husband-to-be?
Yes! About 20% of show attendees are men.
Can I make bookings that day?
Yes, many vendors will take bookings or
deposits. Be sure to bring your checkbook and to inquire about
refund policies.
What time should I arrive?
It's best to arrive early and allow yourself
time to talk with our many professionals. You can stay as long
as you want. Remember, you'll need the time to meet with dozens
of bridal businesses, sample wedding cakes and wedding caterer
offerings, watch the hourly bridal fashion previews, and much
more! So wear comfortable shoes and enjoy your day!
How many, and what types of businesses will
I see at The Bridal Expo?
Most all of Southern Idaho's wedding businesses
exhibit at The Bridal Expo. The more than 50 types of wedding
products and services exhibited cover everything from the necessities
you'll need for your wedding day, to planning your honeymoon and
even settling into your new married life.
What should I bring to the event?
• Pre-Printed Address Labels/Business
Cards
Many of the vendors will ask you for contact
information and enter you in drawings to win prizes for your wedding
day. Filling out your name and phone number over and over can
get tiring. Business cards are another option. By using computer
printed business cards, you can include other information not
found on a typical address label such as groom's name and wedding
date. Printing the cards on your home computer will save on the
cost.
• Checkbook
Some vendors offer special show discounts if
you book them the day of the show. Keep in mind certain vendors
can only handle one wedding per day and their date books fill
quickly. For that must-have vendor, be ready to reserve your date!
Do you have a fashion show?
Due to the fact that many of the beautiful
gowns that are shown in fashion shows get dirty or damaged, they
must be marked as used or preworn and sold at a discount. Instead
of loosing money by having a fashion show, our vendors have decided
it was better to pass on huge savings on gowns to the attendees
and they are more than happy to make appointments in their shops
for personal consultations so you may try on the gowns to see
what they look like on you. Do you really want to wear a dress
that someone else has been wearing in a fashion show on your special
day?
What about parking?
There are over 500 parking spaces within
a block of the Ballroom. Some are right across the street.
